Internists, cardiologists, electrophysiologists and other heart rhythm specialists who manage patients with atrial fibrillation

Learning Objectives
  • Identify high risk patients and recognize risk factors based on their age and gender as well as the variables most closed related to the risk of early recurrence following catheter ablation of AF.
  • Describe the treatment options, strategies and the most common reasons to control the ventritcular rate in patients with atrial fibrillation
  • Recognize the newest antiarrhythmics agents, how they can reduce all-case mortality in atrial fibrillation, and the opportunity for future therapeutic approaches
  • Examine how state-of-the-art  radiofrequency catether ablation can affect the prognosis for patients with heart failure
